19th-Dec-2005 04:00 pm - Blood of Beasts
I was bored this afternoon and watched this movie called "Blood of Beasts."

Two words.

Bad hair.

I can't comment any further because it'll just give me a headache.
A Narnia Review

I remember the first time I read something of C.S. Lewis. It was Screwtape Letters, and I recall being so amused by his writing style, so when I read The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe, I thought it was fun and interesting, but nothing that stayed with me as I grew older. Frankly, all I remembered at the getgo was that the Professor's house had a lot of rooms. lol

So imagine my surprise when I came out of it enjoying the movie. The tone of the film was a lot more emotional than I expected, showing a great emphasis to family and what it means being a part of one.

Also, I noticed that a lot of the comedic subtleties in the film wasn't as well executed had it been done by more seasoned young actors, but thankfully, it didn't come out flat. So no big loss there.

The musical scoring in the film is absolutely fantastic. Thoroughly beautiful.

Oh, those beavers. Loved them.

The CGI work on the animals were amazing beyond belief.

Cinematography-wise, I was blown away.

Lastly, I really wish I could get that Wardrobe Cabinet at Wicks or E-Bay or something. I'd love to just open one and find myself in the Bahamas during these cold winters.

A Just Friends Non-sensical Review

So the plot goes like this. A big fat guy named Chris is best friends with a gorgeous girl Jamie. He wants to be more than that, but girl only thinks of him as a friend. The graduating class make fun of him for it so he leaves the girl and ditches his hometown and moves to L.A. He reinvents himself. Handsome. Sucessful. But most of all, no longer fat. Thus, his return to the hometown he loathes is inevitable.

Now let's me be honest. I watched this for the sole purpose of Ryan Reynolds. Seriously though, the man is hot. This is not a bad movie, but I wasn't exactly keeling over with laughter, but see, that's okay because well, it's Ryan Reynolds. The man is hot. Oh, and I've always thought he could make a very good romantic lead too when his character is not acting like an ass on screen, but I can look past that because he's hot. And that's all I have to say about that.

HASH(0x8c875d8)

Your Lightsaber is Blue

Blue is often associated with depth and stability.
It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom,
confidence, and truth.

I'd brag but that doesn't put me in a good light. lol

8th-Nov-2005 09:56 am - An Untitled Story

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

It really is untitled. My friend [info]alliancesjr has a pretty damn good story called... well, he didn't have a title for it, so it's currently called the Untitled Story. It's original fiction, so give it a shot. It's well written and quite funny with one of the coolest cast of characters I've ever read in a fiction story. You won't be bored... at least I don't think.

5th-Nov-2005 12:47 pm - The Hazards of Moving
What is it about hauling boxes from point A to point B make the mere thought of it so unmotivating?

I'm helping my dad carry his furniture out of his house to a storage and it always makes me feel like I'm gonna die. I don't know, but it happens every time. Same applies to my own moving experience. I can't stand it. I could go the gym. Rearrange my own furniture but I just. don't. like. moving. boxes.

Anyway, I almost broke my back with this big ass dresser because my dad is a great deal shorter than me, giving me a huge disadvantage when we're both trying to carry it out.

It's no fun at all.

I'm gonna go drink my Baskin Robbins Mango Bold Breeze now. Yummy!
29th-Oct-2005 10:43 am - Random stuff
The other day, I got a call from my dad asking me (or more like telling me) to come to this Halloween dinner party that he and many of his co-workers put together as part of this organization in raising funds to do missionary work for the Philippines.

So I thought, "Hmm... free food. Okay, I'm in"

I arrive and the party couldn't get anymore boring. People are nice, but it was still boring. Food was good, but it was still boring. I stayed there for about three hours, ordering alcohol while I'm at it. I could almost swear that the chick who mixed my drink wasn't doing it right. Anyway, I drank cuz if I have to put up listening to crappy music from 30 or so years ago that felt like the atmosphere was for a wake, I wasn't gonna do it sober.

Throughout the entire thing, my dad and I exchange meaningly words like "Hi" and "Have something to eat" or "the desert table is over there" *shrugs* What can I say?

Nothing much.

Oh, and I saw The Legend of Zorro too. My review... it was okay.
